Diary of a Teenage Patient
The 21st marks my 8-month anniversary of my surgery. To that, I hope that I have many more healthy years to come. Now, before a surgical procedure, I mentally prepare myself for the road of recovery ahead. And that’s physical, the incisions, stitches, staples…………..physical. I go into surgery, smiling and laughing with the nurse that is pushing me along on the gurney....
